Anthony Velasquez has been selected as the new athletic director for King City High School.

King City High School Future Farmers of America (FFA) Chapter hosted its second annual Donkey Basketball game last Wednesday inside the Mustang Gym, involving several community organizations and the Greenfield High School FFA Chapter for the first time.

King City Lady Mustang basketball team gathered Dec. 29 at the Mustang Gym for a game against a group of alumni players. The Lady Mustangs led for most of the game but were defeated 51-44 by the alumni team.

King City High and Gonzales High boys basketball teams began 2019 with losses at home and on the road.

Led by three weight class winners, the Gonzales High wrestling team placed sixth overall at the Apple Cider Wrestling Tournament on Saturday in Watsonville.

Soledad Lady Aztec and Greenfield Lady Bruin soccer teams played to ties last week in divisional play, and the King City Lady Mustangs defeated Pacific Collegiate in divisional play.

Toro Bulls Youth Football and Cheer announced the date and head coaches of the 34th Annual Central Coast 2018 All-Star High School Football Game.

King City High School cross country team celebrated a season of accomplishment with an awards night and banquet Nov. 19 at the St. John’s Church Hall.
