ADOPTION EVENT
MONTEREY COUNTY — SPCA Monterey County will host its “Fall in Love” adoption event from Friday, Oct. 10, through Sunday, Oct. 12. During this period, all adoption fees will be waived, thanks to the support of donors; donations are encouraged to help sustain the program. The shelter, located at 1002 Monterey-Salinas Highway across from WeatherTech Raceway Laguna Seca in Salinas, will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. A variety of animals—including dogs, cats, rabbits, guinea pigs, ducks, roosters, turtles and more—will be available for adoption. Adopted animals will receive spay/neuter surgery, microchipping, vaccinations, an ID tag and a health evaluation. Visitors are advised to arrive early, as no holds will be available during the event. Gifts of pet food and monetary donations are appreciated. For additional information, contact the SPCA at 831-373-2631 or visit the website SPCAmc.org, where a list of adoptable pets can be viewed.
