King City celebrated Independence Day yesterday, beginning with a car show at the Wildhorse Cafe and Pacific Valley Bank’s Fourth of July Parade along Broadway Street and ending with the local chamber’s aerial fireworks show at the fairgrounds.

King City Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture recognized a few of the city’s finest residents last Saturday during its Annual Awards Dinner.

King City in Bloom will host a dedication ceremony Wednesday for the new windmill and landscaping at the entrance to San Lorenzo County Park.
