Revised plan for sidewalk renovations approved
King City Council has approved a revised plan to improve local sidewalks that have either deteriorated over the years or are incomplete segments due to financial constraints, with the intent of obtaining a federal grant for more than $3 million to help fix accessibility throughout the city.

A new microfilm scanner for the King City Branch Library of the Monterey County Free Libraries is on order and expected soon thanks to a generous grant and donations from more than 50 residents and businesses.

Volunteer women mentors are currently needed to work with high school girls in Monterey, Santa Cruz and San Benito counties through the Girls Inc. of the Central Coastās ECHO Leadership and Mentoring Program.
