KING CITY — The King City Community Food Pantry filled two trucks and was working on its third on Sunday afternoon at the King City High School Parking Lot.

Each truck filled meant $1,000 for the Community Food Pantry to serve its 300 families.

“It’s a great way for the community to go through and do spring cleaning and then bring the things they don’t need here,” Event Coordinator Peggy Keirn said.

The items that were collected during the Goodwill Donation Drive are taken up to Santa Cruz Goodwill locations for sale.

The King City Community Food Pantry will open in April every Friday from 10 to 11 a.m.
