MONTEREY COUNTY — Residents who need assistance with damage from flooding can call the home cleanup hotline at 844-965-1386 to ask for help. The hotline, which will remain open through Friday, Jan. 27, will connect residents with volunteers from local relief groups who can help with drywall, flooring and appliance removal; cut fallen trees; tarping roofs; and mold mitigation.


SOLEDAD — Soledad Merchants will host its monthly member meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 25, at 5:30 p.m. at Soledad Round Table. There will be presentations from business-supporting organizations Building Business Back and the Workforce Development Board, and the business spotlight presenter will be Grocery Outlet. KING CITY — King City Police Department will have its first Coffee with a Cop event of the year on Thursday, Jan. 26, from 8 to 9:30 a.m. at Hestia, 320 Broadway St. Suite B, in King City. The event is an opportunity for residents to meet, greet and discuss anything with local officers.


SOLEDAD — City of Soledad and El Pajaro Community Development Corporation are inviting local businesses for coffee and a conversation with the Community and Economic Development team on Thursday, Jan. 26, at 8 a.m. in the Council Chambers at Soledad City Hall, 248 Main St. There will be a presentation from Building Business Back, a program of Monterey County in collaboration with Monterey County Business Council; and a Public Works update on new Monterey-Salinas Transit bus routes and future projects.
