SALINAS VALLEY — Salinas Valley Fair has scheduled the annual Fair Kick-Off Dinner, Dance and Auction for Saturday inside the Orradre Building at the Salinas Valley Fairgrounds in King City.
“Our upcoming Fair theme is ‘Back in the Saddle,’ so we are celebrating by jumping right into our annual event that heads the Fair every year,” said Lauren Hamilton, Salinas Valley Fair interim CEO.
The April 23 event begins at 5:30 p.m. with a no-host bar, followed by a King City Young Farmers steak dinner at 7 p.m. From 5:30 to 7:30 p.m., the silent auction will be open — filled with more than 150 items to bid on. The live auction will start at 8 p.m. with one-of-a-kind items.
Immediately following the live auction, the evening’s dance portion will get started with music from Lipstick Revolver.
The goal for the annual Fair Kick-Off is to raise funds through ticket sales, as well as both auctions.
“We always have an awesome list of auction items, and this year is no exception,” said Frank Lopez, Salinas Valley Fair board chairman. “We appreciate the donations made to put this auction on and are grateful for those who attend to support the Salinas Valley Fair.”
The variety of auction items include group dinners, private trips, tickets to sporting events and more.
Tickets are available at the Salinas Valley Fair Office, 625 Division St.; L.A. Hearne Co., 512 Metz Road; and from the Salinas Valley Fair directors. The 2022 Salinas Valley Fair is set for May 12-15.
