To the Editor:

Community Food Pantry of King City would like to give a “shout-out” to Donna Myers for her 16 years of dedicated service to the organization.

Donna worked diligently to ensure that those in need of food in King City and the surrounding communities of South Monterey County were able to obtain free food every Friday from April to November from the Food Pantry on Bassett Street.

Donna has decided to step down after her many years of service, and the Community Food Pantry Board wants to thank her for her leadership and guidance. She touched many lives with her dedication, kindness and caring.

Community Food Pantry is planning to open its doors on Friday, April 29. Many of the volunteers who worked with Donna have agreed to help out once again, and we have many new volunteers.

Thanks to Donna, we have a well-organized plan and we hope to be able to serve the community as well as she did for so many years.
