KING CITY — Monterey County Agricultural and Rural Life Museum President Steve Wilson and Board Member Raye Ann Houx recently led volunteers from Sun Street Centers in a cleanup of San Lorenzo Park’s “The Pit” in preparation for MCARLM’s Ghost Stories event this Saturday.

MCARLM will present Ghost Stories at San Lorenzo Park in King City on Saturday, Oct. 23, starting at 5:30 p.m.

The Halloween-themed event features local storytellers reciting tales of hauntings, spookings and all things scary. Audience members are encouraged to tell their own scary stories.

Children’s activities and free refreshments will be provided, and traffic signs will guide attendees to the decorated Spook Zone area of the park.
