KING CITY — King City High Lady Mustangs and Broncos volleyball teams wrapped up their 2024 season with an awards banquet on Nov. 25 in the school cafeteria.

“It was a great night to celebrate our teams’ accomplishments this season,” said Lady Mustangs head coach Christine Luna. “The Broncos finished with an overall record of 19-9 and a league record of 9-5. They had a great season and are looking forward to their future. The Lady Mustangs finished with an overall record of 18-11 and a Gabilan league record of 7-7 finishing fourth. It was a great bounce back after last season with only two wins. At awards night, we were able to celebrate our athletes and their accomplishments.”

The varsity Lady Mustang award winners were: Iran Ibarra, Lady Mustang Award; Xienna Novoa, Best Defensive Player, first-team all-league and Gabilan Defensive Player of the Year; Hayden Munoz, Coaches Award, Richard Chamberlin All-Sportsmanship Award and Top Scholar Athlete; Janesa Lopez, Best Offensive Coordinator, four-year varsity player; Hollyn Hearne, Most Valuable Player and second-team All-League; and Amity Hearne, Top Offensive Player, Top Scholar Athlete and four-year varsity player.

The JV Bronco award winners were: Leslie Rodriguez, Lady Bronco Award; Gillian Ewart, Coaches Award and Top Scholar Award; Alizah Carrillo, Most Valuable Player; and Crystal Paramo, Best Offensive Player.
