New stage lights installed at Stanton Theatre
Sol Treasures will present performances of Disney’s “Beauty and the Beast” next Saturday and Sunday at the Robert Stanton Theatre in King City, while the Monterey Pops will salute local vets there with a free concert of patriotic music on Nov. 10.
King City honors the fallen
Members of Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6747 of King City led the annual Memorial Day ceremony Monday, with help from Fort Hunter Liggett staff and Mayor Mike LeBarre, to honor those who have died while serving in the U.S. military.

More than 50 demonstrators, including many children, stood together last Saturday afternoon at King City’s welcome sign in protest against current harsh immigration policies at the nation’s southern border.
