SPORTS DELAY

SALINAS VALLEY — California Interscholastic Federation has determined that education-based athletics will begin with a modified season, with sports to commence in December 2020 or January 2021 at the earliest. The July 20 announcement also noted that CIF is working with statewide agencies, school districts and health professionals to come up with safety guidelines for student athletes when sports begin.


CITY SURVEY

KING CITY — City of King is asking residents to take a short survey about pedestrian and bicycle improvements along San Antonio Drive. Grant funding is being sought to construct a 1-mile-long bicycle and pedestrian trail. The 12-question survey will be available until Aug. 5, and can be found at https://survey.zohopublic.com/zs/yzzkvU.


PET SUPERSTARS

SALINAS VALLEY — There are nine days left to enter a pet in the 2021 SPCA Calendar of Superstar Pets Photo Contest. All entered photos are published in a calendar, and the top five winning families can earn prizes for their pet photos.
