GREENFIELD — Greenfield Harvest Festival is set for Sunday, Oct. 15, and will be a day filled with live music and dancing, food and drinks, youth activities and endless entertainment for the entire family. Presented by the City of Greenfield, the Festival is a free community event from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on El Camino Real between Walnut and Oak avenues in Greenfield. In addition to concerts from various artists, there will be a variety of street vendors and a Beer and Wine Garden for the 21-and-over crowd. There will also be live Lucha Libre this year and plenty of free activities to keep children entertained, such as arts and crafts, science experiments, bounce houses and more.


MONTEREY COUNTY — Halloween kicks off the holiday season with pumpkin carving, sweet treats and fun costumes. This year, Monterey County Free Libraries will continue its tradition hosting the fourth annual Pumpkin Decorating Contest online. To participate, residents need to decorate a pumpkin and post a photo to the MCFL Facebook or Instagram pages and tag @e_MCFL for their chance to win a prize. The contest runs from Oct. 15 through 31.


SEASIDE — California State University Monterey Bay’s annual Fall 2023 Job and Internship Fair takes place Tuesday, Oct. 17, from 12 to 2 p.m., at CSUMB’s University Center, 4314 6th Ave., in Seaside. More than 30 employers from various industries will be attending the fair, ready to connect with students and community members, and share their insights and job openings. Prospective employers include Natividad, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Monterey Credit Union, California State Parks, Special Kids Connect, Santa Cruz Police Department and more. Some organizations will be open to taking resumes and interviewing people on the spot, while CSUMB career counselors will be on hand to help facilitate introductions and answer questions. Refreshments will be served.
