LIBRARY MEALS

KING CITY — South Monterey County Joint Union High School District has announced that it will be providing free meals to nearby libraries under the Seamless Summer Option. All children 18 years of age and under are able to access lunch at no charge at the following locations: King City Library, 402 Broadway St., King City, June 15 and 22; Greenfield Library, 315 El Camino Real, Greenfield, June 6-24 (Tuesday–Saturday); San Ardo Library, 62350 College St, San Ardo, June 14 and 21; and San Lucas Library, 54692 Teresa St, San Lucas, June 14 and 21. STEM CAMPS

SALINAS VALLEY — A weeklong Summer STEM Academy, hosted by Hartnell College and filled with enrichment activities, will be held June 12-17 at the King City Education Center and June 19-24 at Soledad Education Center. The free program is open to students in grades 10, 11 and 12. Sign up at bit.ly/HCSCA23. In addition, Hartnell College and King City Education Center are hosting weeklong Cyber Camps in July. The beginner course will take place from July 10-14; intermediate course from July 17-21; and an advanced online course is available July 24-28. ARTIST COMPETITION

GREENFIELD — Monterey County Supervisor Chris Lopez has announced the third annual “We Are Southern Monterey County” Painting and Photography Competition for all artists in Monterey County. All painting, drawing and photography mediums are welcome. Artwork may be any style and should reflect the pride, beauty and spirit of Southern Monterey County. Along with various prizes, the winner’s art will be displayed in Lopez’s District 3 office in Greenfield for one year. Up to three entries may be submitted, and are due by Friday, June 16. Submissions must be of high resolution and can be emailed to [email protected] or dropped off at the District 3 office at 599 El Camino Real in Greenfield.
