WEEDING VOLUNTEERS

KING CITY — King City in Bloom will host its next weed cleanup at the city park and around the recreation building in King City on Wednesday, June 9. They will also lay gorilla hair at the golf course and recreation center. Those who wish to show up are asked to bring their wedding tools if they have them. The meeting location will be the King City Recreation Center at 9 a.m.


WOMEN IN AGTECH

SALINAS — Salinas Valley Chamber of Commerce is hosting a virtual conversation with Amy Wu, the creator and chief content director of “From Farms to Incubators,” on Wednesday, June 9, from 2 to 3 p.m. Wu will discuss women entrepreneurs in the agricultural industry who are at the forefront of the agtech revolution. SAFE ROUTES

GREENFIELD — Transportation Agency for Monterey County and the Monterey County Health Department sought volunteers to launch their Safe Routes to School Initiative in Greenfield. Volunteers helped paint bike and walking routes on city sidewalks on June 7. For more information, call 831-775-0903.
