BUSINESS GRANTS

CALIFORNIA — A virtual town hall with Sen. Anna Caballero took place Jan. 4, providing information about a new Covid-19 relief grant for small business owners. The event was the result of a partnership between Caballero, el Pajaro CDC and Small Business Majority, during which they presented information about $500 million in funding for small business grants. PET VACCINATIONS

SOLEDAD — Cat adoptions and low-cost pet vaccinations will be available Saturday, Jan. 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Soledad Visitor’s Center, 502 Front St. Masks are required to attend. Dogs and cats can receive microchipping and vaccinations for rabies, parvo and bordatella.


INCREASED ENFORCEMENT

KING CITY — King City Police Department announced it deployed additional officers on New Year’s Eve to increase its ability to ensure the safety and wellbeing of the community. Officers were out on the watch for illegal conduct, which included the sale and discharging of fireworks within the city limits.
