FIRE RECOVERY

MONTEREY COUNTY — Fire recovery town halls continue for residents impacted by the 2020 River, Carmel and Dolan fires as well as those who saw damages during the recent storm. Monterey County will hold its sixth webinar on Thursday, Feb. 11, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for those affected by fires and most recently, debris flow. CRAFT KITS

GONZALES — Free Valentine’s Day craft kits are available from Gonzales Recreation Department. Children ages 5 through 12 can stop by Gonzales City Hall at 147 Fourth St. on weekdays from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Craft kits are on a first-come, first-served basis. Only one kit per child is available.


HOUSE HUNTERS

CHUALAR — A multi-million-dollar home for sale in Chualar was recently featured in The New York Times’ online real estate section. The 4,800-square-foot Mediterranean-style house, called Rancho Olivo, was built in 1989 and has four bedrooms and three-and-a-half bathrooms on a 10-acre lot. The property, located on Chualar Canyon Road, includes rose gardens, a swimming pool, a barn and a wine-tasting room — all for the price of nearly $2.4 million.
