On June 7 at about 9:50 a.m., Salinas police officers responded to a victim of a shooting in the 1300 block of Rhode Island Street. On arrival they located the 43-year-old male victim suffering from a single non-life threatening gunshot wound to his lower body.

King City Police Department is investigating a shooting that took place Friday night in the area of Calcagno Street and Long Sing Avenue.

Last Sunday’s shooting that injured a 19-year-old man in King City has been determined to be accidental and self-inflicted, according to investigators from the Major Crimes Investigations Unit.
