Isaac Rodriguez Jr., 68, of King City, passed away after a short battle with lymphoma, Friday, March 1, 2019, at Salinas Valley Memorial Hospital.

Isaac was born Feb. 3, 1951, in Weslaco, Texas, to Isaac & Juanita Rodriguez. He was a graduate of King City High School, class of 1969. He was employed as drug counselor in Albuquerque, N.M., and had most recently moved back to Monterey County in 2010. He was a devout Christian.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Stella Rodriguez, of King City; children, Ariel Rodriguez of New York, Besaida (Erik Morales) Rodriguez of Livermore; grandchildren, Delilah, Samuel, Joshua, Isabella, and Gianna; siblings, Maria Elena (Bill) McHargue of San Jose, Joe Rodriguez of Los Banos, Rolando (Lorene) Rodriguez of Santa Maria, Leticia Rodriguez of Paso Robles, Nora (Bill) Kummert of Dayton, Nev., Veronica Rodriguez of Sherman Oaks; and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Isaac and Juanita Rodriguez; and brothers, Noe and Joel Rodriguez.

Funeral service will be held Wednesday, March 6, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Woodyard Funeral Home, 395 East St, in Soledad; followed with burial at the King City Cemetery.
