KING CITY — The King City High swimmers fell to Stevenson on March 10 at King City. The ladies were defeated by a score of 61 to 32.

The only swimmer to place first in her events was AJ Matos, who came in first in both the 50 Free (30.23) and the 100 Fly (1:23.51). Rebecca Matos placed second in the 100 Breast (1:33.02) and Corrine Huebsch took second in the 100 Back (1:29.25).

The boys were defeated by Stevenson by a score of 71 to 21. The only swimmer to gather a second-place finish was Daniel Correa in the 100 Back with a time of 1:19.95. Alex Villasenor took third in both the 100 Breast (1:29.97) and the 100 Free (1:08.09). Correa took third in the 200 Free (2:26.30), Tim Mercuri took third in the 200 IM (3:11.67), Dusty Miller took third in the 50 Free (25.97), and Andres Cervantes took third in the 500 Free (7:50.75).

On March 17, the Mustang swimmers lost to Pacific Grove. The Mustang ladies fell by a score of 115 to 41. Judith Aguilar placed second in the 500 Free (8:27.83) and Rebecca Matos took second in the 200 IM (3:07.97). Hannah Stuercke placed third in both the 50 Free and the 100 Breast. Angie Jaime took third in the 500 Free and AJ Matos took third in the 100 Free.

The Mustang boys fell to Pacific Grove by a score of 91 to 49. Correa placed second in the 200 IM (2:51.94) and third in the 100 Free (1:04.59). Preston Widner took second in the 200 Free (2:34.47) and third in the 100 Breast (1:31.28). Dusty Miller took third in the 100 Back (1:27.31), while Villasenor took third in the 200 Free (2:40.82) and Mercuri took third in the 500 Free (7:20.31).

The Mustang swimmers’ next meet was a double dual meet on March 24 against both York and Marina.
