KING CITY — Monterey County Pops! presented its seventh annual Salute to Veterans concert last Saturday, Nov. 9, at the historic Robert Stanton Theater in King City.

The 20-member Wind Ensemble, conducted and hosted by Music Director Dr. Carl Christensen, performed the patriotic program alongside several guest performers, including the Sol Treasures Children’s Musical Theatre Chorus, student instrumentalists of “The Minions” and the Monterey County Dance Theatre Kick-Line Dancers.

A color guard from Fort Hunter Liggett presented the colors at the free concert, which also featured a performance of the “Armed Forces Salute,” during which members and veterans of each military branch were honored while their theme song played.
