MONTEREY COUNTY — Monterey County continues to invest in bringing Covid-19 testing supplies to the community for local distribution.

Covid-19 home antigen test kits are available to local organizations and community groups that can distribute them to their members and clients.

In addition, organizations can request hand sanitizer, N95 masks and disinfectant wipes to provide additional layers of protection to the high-risk individuals they serve.

Priority agencies for these supplies are:

  • Organizations serving communities in Healthy Places Index Quartiles 1 and 2;
  • Group homes and other congregate living facilities;
  • Faith-based institutions serving communities in Healthy Places Index Quartiles 1 and 2; and
  • Shelters and organizations serving unsheltered populations.

Childcare providers, including home day cares, may request supplies through the Bright Beginnings Early Childhood Initiative by calling 831-444-8549.

A map showing the California Healthy Places Index quartiles can be found at map.healthyplacesindex.org.

All supplies will be distributed through the county’s Medical Health Operational Area Coordinator (MHOAC) program and are available while supplies last. Organizations can submit a request through the Monterey County Emergency Medical Services Agency using an online form at apps.co.monterey.ca.us/EMSRequest/.

At this time, individual members of the public are not able to request supplies through this process.
