KING CITY — Mee Memorial Healthcare System’s CFO Mark Woolery has earned recognition from Becker’s Hospital Review as one of “29 rural hospital CFOs to know in 2023.”
The list includes CFOs from rural healthcare systems across the United States. Woolery is one of two CFOs listed from California.
“Rural hospitals work hard to ease the burden on underserved communities, and CFOs are a crucial part of the equation,” the report stated.
Woolery and others on the list were singled out for an ability to “maintain the financial health of their institutions, set strategic plans, secure funding, and keep costs affordable for patients.”
The review included the following about MMHS’s CFO: “Mr. Woolery owns finance and financial strategy at Mee Memorial Healthcare System. His thorough knowledge of rural healthcare has significantly contributed to the financial turnaround of the organization and the wellbeing of the communities it serves. Thanks to his guidance, the system was awarded the King City Business of Year Award by the King City Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture in 2021.”
