To the Editor:

Recently, I was reading the extensive Wikipedia Art Deco history website. In it, I was pleasantly surprised to see a photo of King City’s Stanton Auditorium featured as one of only four examples of “Late Deco” architecture.

Like so many things, you can search the internet to see photos and read about it. That’s not unusual. But for the Stanton Auditorium to be selected and featured in Wikipedia along with other prominent art deco examples throughout the world, shows what a true architectural gem resides in King City.

We owe a debt of gratitude to all the volunteers who over the decades helped restore and maintain the Stanton Auditorium for future generations.
