KING CITY — Community members gathered Monday morning at King City Cemetery for the annual Memorial Day ceremony with the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 6747 and Fort Hunter Liggett staff to honor those who have died while serving in the U.S. military.

The May 27 program featured the Soledad High School NJROTC color guard, a display of flags, “Taps” tribute and the presentation of wreaths created by local service groups.

A barbecue at the VFW Hall followed the ceremony.
