PEBBLE BEACH — Julie Arreola hit a double and a triple with four runs batted in to lead the King City Lady Mustangs to an 8-5 win over the host Robert Louis Stevenson Pirates last Tuesday in Pebble Beach.

Outfielder Lauren Johnson hit two doubles and had three RBI’s and scored two runs and winning pitcher Mikayla Davis contributed with two runs and an RBI.

In the JV game the Lady Broncos downed the Pirates by a 26-5 score.

Kathy Acero pitched for King City and finished with six strikeouts. Elena Vasquez and Acero went 2 x 2, Jasmin Guillen went 3 x 4, and Paola Garcia smashed two hits in three at bats.

The King City teams will be off on spring break and will not return to Mission Trail Athletic League play until Tuesday, April 25, when they will host the Santa Catalina Cougars.
