KING CITY — Mustang soccer great and 1987 King City graduate Ramon Bravo was selected by the King City High School Athletic Hall of Fame Committee last week. Bravo was an outstanding soccer player for the Mustangs.

In 1986 Bravo had 66 goals, in the second best single season in scoring in California high school history. The best ever was 67 goals. Bravo score 117 career goals and is the fourth best ever in the State. Bravo’s 1986 team lost in the Central Coast Section semi-finals in the last year with only one division in all the CCS.

The 1987 team won the CCS title in Division II beating the previous year’s winner along the way. Bravo was the league’s Most Valuable Player in both his junior and senior seasons. Bravo will be honored at the half time of the Mustangs first home football game on Sept. 22.
