BRADLEY — A single boat accident at Lake San Antonio on Friday killed one adult and injured a child.

According to media reports, the speedboat was traveling between 30 and 60 mph when it flipped over several times after hitting a wake while attempting a turn.

The adult, identified as 62-year-old John Alexander from North Hills, likely suffered severe trauma that resulted in his death, reports stated. The child had minor injuries.

Emergency responders were on scene at about 2:15 p.m., with Monterey County park rangers investigating the June 13 accident.

The popular recreational lake is located southwest of Bradley in South Monterey County.

Emergency responders were on the scene as of about 2:15 p.m., and Monterey County Park Rangers are investigating.

“This is an evolving situation and additional details will be provided as they become available,” stated Maia Carroll, public information officer for the County.

The recreational lake is located southwest of Bradley in South Monterey County.
