KING CITY — King City Mustang swimmers split their meet with North Salinas last Thursday, with the boys beating the Vikings by a score of 57-28 and the girls disappointingly losing by one point 43-42.

The boys placed first in all their relays with strong first-place finishes by Dylan Wheeler in the 100 Back (1:25.51).

Julian Torres took first in both the 100 Breast (1:43.10) and the 100 Fly (1:44.66). Maximilliano Morales took first in both the 50 Free (27.40) and the 500 Free (7:01.63), while Julian Alatorre took first in both the 200 IM (2:52.47) and the 100 Free (1:06.48).

All four girls placed first in various events. Mia Lopez took first in both the 500 Free (7:02.23) and the 50 Free (30.99), while Nicole Maydon took first in both the 200 IM (2:55.79) and the 100 Breast (1:37.45). 

Jocelyn took first in the 100 Free (1:22.89), while Hayden Munoz took first in the 100 Back.

The final Cypress League meet will be a double duel meet on Friday, April 21, against Marina and Seaside at 3:30 p.m. at the King City Municipal Pools.
