South County football teams gather for annual jamboree
In the final tune-up before the start of non-league play, South County high school football teams took the field last Friday at the South County Jamboree, hosted by Soledad High School at the Gene Martin Stadium.

Track resurfaced at King City High
A brand new gray and blue all-weather track surface was laid down last month at War Memorial Stadium in King City. The 440-yard nine-lane track became an all-weather facility in 2006.
Boxers fight at Generation Next Showdown
Two boxers from the San Ardo Boxing Club and one boxer from the King City Boxing Club traveled to Hayward on Saturday to participate in the Generation Next Showdown that was hosted by the Alameda County Deputy Sheriffs Activities League.
Karate students take exams
On June 15 students from Carrillo’s Karate Studio took exams to improve their rankings.
