In a battle for first place in the Mission Trail Athletic League, the Greenfield Lady Bruin soccer gained half a game on front running Pacific Collegiate as the teams finished in a 1-1 tie in last Thursdayā€™s game in Greenfield.

Win streak continues for KC

Three straight league wins kept the King City Lady Mustang basketball team amongst the league leaders at 4-1 and in a second place tie with Soledad. King City won a home game 60-27 over the Gonzales Spartans, and beat the host Santa Catalina Cougars 57-14 on the road in Monterey.

Mustangs beat Hawks and Warriors in league games

Wins over the Oakwood Hawks of Morgan Hill and the Trinity Christian Warriors of Monterey has the King City Mustang boys basketball at 2-3 in the Mission Trail Athletic League.

King City grad serves on All-Big West Volleyball Team

Rachel Diaz completed her senior year at Cal State Northridge as a member of the 2017 All-Big West Volleyball Team as a middle blocker.

South County football players took the field for one last time high school players last Friday at the 33rd Annual All-Star High School Football Game at Rabobank Football Stadium in Salinas. Six players from Soledad, two players from Greenfield, two from King City, and one from Gonzales High participated in the game.
