SOLEDAD — South County Animal Rescue (SCAR) hosted its annual Paw-some Potato Party last Sunday, Aug. 4, at Bill Ramus Park in Soledad to benefit the volunteer-run organization.

Nearly 200 people were served baked potatoes with all the works during the three-hour fundraiser. Baked goods were also available for sale from the nonprofit’s Junior Animal Champions.

Founded in 2016, SCAR helps rescue and foster abandoned, abused and neglected animals in South County.
