SOUTH COUNTY — South County youth have the chance to attend camp at Redwood Glen Camp in Scotts Valley during the final week of July.

The bus has already been approved to shuttle 60 children from South Monterey County to Scotts Valley. The campers must be between the ages of 8 and 12 years old.

“The camp is willing to do a program in each city,” said Maria Romero, captain. “After camp finishes, I am going to meet with the program director and see if we can do something between now and next summer so more kids can be connected to the camp.”

The camp runs Monday through Saturday, July 24-29, and is a discovery and outdoor adventure camp. The six-day camp is designed to offer a variety of experiences from swimming, arts and crafts, archery, slingshots, campouts, campfires, hiking, outdoor education, cabin activities, chapel time and more.

To register for the camp, contact Maria Romero at 310-753-6520.
