SCHOOL WAIVERS

MONTEREY COUNTY — Monterey County remains in the purple tier, the most restrictive set of Covid-19 rules, but the California Department of Public Health has allowed schools in such counties to apply for waivers to return students to on-campus instruction. As of Nov. 2, 14 schools in Monterey County have received waivers. In South Monterey County, those schools include: San Antonio Union School District, San Ardo Union Elementary School, Bradley Union Elementary School and San Lucas Union Elementary School. If a family wishes their child to remain in distance learning, they have that right even when a school with waiver returns to in-person instruction.
