REMEMBRANCE EVENTS

KING CITY — King City High School will host two remembrance events for 9/11 at the middle of campus this Friday, Sept. 10, one at 7:45 a.m. and the other at 10:30 a.m. The events are campus-only and not open to the public, but the community has been asked to send in photos with posters to Lauren Domingos Page. A day of poster decorating was also held on Sept. 6.


MEMORIAL PROCESSION

KING CITY — King City police and fire departments are presenting a 9/11 Memorial Procession on Saturday, Sept. 11, to mark the 20th anniversary of the terrorist attacks. The procession will begin at noon at King City High School and continue through town along Broadway Street to South First Street, ending at the fire station at 422 Bassett St. A presentation of colors, moment of silence and speakers will follow at the station.


SPAY AND NEUTER

GONZALES — A low-cost spay and neuter event will take place Sept. 11 at the Gonzales Police Department, 109 Fourth St. The event will be hosted in conjunction with SPCA of Monterey County. Appointments are available at spcamc.org/mobile.
