CENTENNIAL CRUISE

SOLEDAD — A Centennial Friday Night Cruise will take place Sept. 3 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m., with a Mexican Independence theme. Drivers should meet at the Front Street clock tower in Soledad. All proceeds from the event will benefit the Fourth of July and fireworks budgets for 2022. Food and drinks will be on sale.


VACCINE PROGRESS

GONZALES — Monterey County announced this week that Gonzales and Moss Landing were the first communities in the county to surpass 90% vaccination rate of residents 12 and older who have received at least one dose of a Covid-19 vaccine.


MONTHLY LUNCHEON

KING CITY — Southern Monterey County Republican Women Federated will be hosting its monthly luncheon meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 7, 11:30 a.m. at King Kora Restaurant, 611 Canal St., in King City.
