WRITE-IN NOMINATIONS

MONTEREY COUNTY — The nomination period to qualify as a write-in candidate for the Nov. 8 General Election runs Sept. 12 through Oct. 25. Candidate forms will be available only during this time and must be submitted by the deadline. Official documents may be obtained from and filed at the Monterey County Elections Department, 1441 Schilling Place – North Building, in Salinas. RESOURCE FAIR

GONZALES — A free Community Resource Fair is planned for Thursday, Sept. 15, at 5:30 p.m. at the Joint Use Gym at Fairview Middle School, 550 Fifth St., in Gonzales. There will be raffles and several public speakers from Natividad, CRLA, Sun Street Centers and Monterey County Health Department, as well as more than 15 organizations with informational tables.


BACKYARD CONCERT

KING CITY — Sol Treasures will present its final Backyard Concert Series of the summer on Friday, Sept. 16. The free concert, from 6 to 8 p.m., will feature music by Los Vaqueros Hunting Club Traveling Band outside the art gallery at 519 Broadway St. in King City.
