DRONE OPERATION

GONZALES — A City of Gonzales drone operation will take place from Nov. 6-17, between the hours of 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Zeitview crews will be conducting work in the area as part of a broadband installation project. The data captured by this operation only includes utility structures (poles and wires), roads, sidewalks and curbs, and is only used for mapping purposes. During this time, residents can expect to see drones as well as some ground crews conducting safety checks and taking measurements on the ground. “Data collection through the use of drones greatly increases the speed at which the needed data can be collected and the time the project can be completed,” the City stated.
