MOTHER’S DAY CARDS

SALINAS — For the past 30 years, Alliance on Aging has recognized women in local nursing homes and assisted living facilities by extending personalized Mother’s Day wishes. The nonprofit’s “I Remember Mama” fundraiser has become a valued tradition for residents in nursing homes and assisted living facilities throughout Monterey County and the many volunteers that help each year. AOA once again is asking for volunteers from the community to make Mother’s Day cards with fun, loving and hopeful messages that will be delivered to the facilities on Mother’s Day weekend. Any community member can be involved in the project by mailing or dropping off Mother’s Day cards to Alliance on Aging, 236 Monterey St., Salinas, CA 93901. The deadline is May 8.
