SOLEDAD — A Centennial Car Parade is planned for March 9 at 5 p.m. along West Street to celebrate Soledad’s 100th anniversary, hosted by the City of Soledad and the Front Street group. The parade will use the same route as Front Street’s Christmas Parade, which starts at California Gourmet Pizza, 235 West St., and ends at City Hall. There will be fireworks after the parade at 7:30 p.m. at Gallardo Park.

GREENFIELD — Greenfield Union School District will share distance learning, hybrid and in-person instruction plans with its school board on March 11. This will be an opportunity to find out how the district plans to continue with education for the city’s elementary and middle school students, whichever educational format is used. Monterey County continues to remain in the widespread “purple” tier but will likely move to the “red” tier soon, at which point the district will explore how to move more toward hybrid and in-person instruction. More information can be found at greenfield.k12.ca.us or by calling 831-674-2840.
