CLEANUP DAY

GONZALES — City of Gonzales and other organizations have planned a Reuse, Recycle and Cleanup Day on Saturday, June 24, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m., at Fairview Middle School, 401 Fourth St. Gonzales residents can dispose of such items as general garbage, electronics, TVs, computers, metal appliances and metal and steel items, including refrigerators and freezers, for free. No furniture or yard waste will be accepted. In addition, there will be a special materials collection for antifreeze, batteries, oil and paint.


PET CLINIC

GONZALES — A dog and cat vaccination and microchip clinic will take place Saturday, June 24, from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. in front of the Gonzales Police Department at 109 Fourth St. All dogs must be on a leash. Vaccines and microchips are being provided and administered by the SPCA Monterey County. For more information, call the Police Department Administrative Office at 831-675-5010.


GARDEN TOUR

KING CITY — The nonprofit group, King City in Bloom, is offering a Garden Tour of six Salinas Valley homes as part of King City’s Beautification Week, and the public is invited to participate. The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 24, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The tours are self-guided, and those participating can arrive anytime they would like to see the gardens. Homes on the tour include those of: Alex and Jacquei Romans and Cory and Mel Kuchta outside of Greenfield; Dan and Leigh Butler and Bobby and Denise Miller in Pine Canyon; Duke Zinani and Wendy Davis in King City; and Matt and Nancy Kelley on Jolon Road. Tickets are available at The Garden House at 650 Canal St., where there will be refreshments, door prizes and a raffle. For more information, call 831-385-6811.
