KING CITY — King City’s next SOCOS Social (SOuth COunty Seniors Social) featuring a free lunch, live music and resources is set for Thursday, July 7, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the King City Recreation Center, 401 Division St. Seniors age 60 and older who live in King City or the surrounding communities within Monterey County are invited to attend the social, presented by Meals on Wheels of the Salinas Valley. TEEN SWIM

KING CITY — Teen Swim Night is returning to the King City Pools on Thursday, July 7, from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Sponsored by King City Recreation Department and King City Police Department, the event features dive contests and hot dogs courtesy of KCPD. There is a $1 entry fee for teens (13 to 18 years old) with school ID.


LEADERSHIP PROGRAM

SALINAS — Assemblymember Robert Rivas’ District 30 Office is planning a Youth and Government Leadership Program from July 11 to 27. The introductory program is for local students in grades 9 through 12 to learn more about state government and making a positive impact in the community. They will receive leadership development training, knowledge of the legislative process and advocacy skill development, as well as meet community leaders.
