SALINAS — Fresh Express, the brand leader in value added salads, is hosting on-site job fairs across its five U.S. production facilities on Wednesday, July 14, from 1 to 4 p.m. The company is looking to hire more than 400 new team members in a variety of roles across the five facilities, including the Salinas production facility. Interested candidates should bring their resume and two forms of identification to the job fair and be prepared to conduct brief on-site interviews. Visit freshexpress.com/careers for more details.

SIDEWALK CHALLENGE

SALINAS VALLEY — Residents in Gonzales, Greenfield and Soledad are encouraged to join the colorful sidewalk “Summer Walk Challenge,” now through July 31, for a chance to win a new bike or scooter. Transportation Agency for Monterey County in collaboration with the Monterey County Health Department and community volunteers recently stenciled sidewalks in each of the South Monterey County cities to prepare students for safe walking routes to schools in the fall. The summer challenge is an opportunity for residents to learn the routes and practice walking to school. To participate, take a picture while walking any of the routes this month and then post it on Instagram with the hashtag #saferoutesmonterey or share to “Safe Routes to School – Monterey County” via Facebook. For route maps or more details, visit saferoutesmonterey.org.
