STORM CENTER

SPRECKELS — Federal, state and local agencies are coming together to provide information and assistance to those impacted by recent storms. A Local Assistance Center (LAC) will be open beginning Saturday, Jan. 21, through Thursday, Jan. 26, from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m., at the Spreckels Veterans’ Memorial Building, 90 Fifth St., in Spreckels. The LAC provides a single one-stop center where individuals, families and businesses can access available disaster assistance programs and services.


PET CLINIC

SAN ARDO — A free pet spay/neuter clinic, sponsored by Monterey County, is planned for Saturday, Jan. 21, for residents of San Ardo and the unincorporated areas of South Monterey County. The SNIP bus will take place in San Ardo. Call or text 925-967-1001 to make an appointment.


AQUARIUM VISIT

MONTEREY — Monterey Bay Aquarium is offering free admission for Monterey County residents during a Community Open House from Jan. 21 through 29. No tickets or reservations are necessary, but residents must present proof of county residence at the door. Guests of local residents must pay regular admission prices and purchase tickets in advance. For more information, visit montereybayaquarium.org/locals.
