IMPACT MEETING

GREENFIELD — A Community Impact Meeting, hosted by Sun Street Centers, is planned for Wednesday, Dec. 7, at 5:30 p.m. at Vista Verde Middle School, 1199 Elm Ave., in Greenfield. HOLIDAY LUNCH

SOLEDAD — This Christmas, Soledad Parks and Recreation will host a free Senior Holiday Lunch on Tuesday, Dec. 13, in place of the regularly scheduled SOCOS Social. Mrs. Claus will be visiting and needs help providing gifts to the elderly residents. The community is asked to donate wrapped, gender-neutral gifts to the Soledad Community Center, 560 Walker Drive, by Friday, Dec. 9, to bring a local senior some cheer this holiday season. VETERAN WREATHS

KING CITY — King City Cemetery and Wreaths Across America will be hosting a wreath-laying ceremony at the cemetery on Saturday, Dec. 17. The wreaths will be placed on all veteran’s graves. Anyone who knows of any veterans interred without a veteran’s mark on the grave or know of any veteran who has died in the past year who is interred at King City Cemetery can contact Karen Leonhard at 831-385-1333 or [email protected]. BONUS BRIEF: GRIEF WORKSHOP

SALINAS — Hospice Giving Foundation and Heal Together will present a virtual workshop, “Healing and Moving Through Grief During the Holidays,” on Friday, Dec. 9, from 2 to 3 p.m. In this online 60-minute session, experts will talk about grief and loss, focusing on how to manage feelings during the holiday season.
