YOUTH VACCINES

SALINAS — Natividad is offering a free vaccination clinic for youth ages 5 to 11 on Friday, Dec. 31, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The clinic, at 1441 Constitution Blvd. in Salinas, features the Pfizer Covid-19 pediatric vaccine. Two doses are required, with the second-dose clinic set for Friday, Jan. 21. Make an appointment at myturn.ca.gov or call 2-1-1.


FREE CONCERT

MONTEREY — As part of First Night Monterey, the community is invited to celebrate the City of Monterey’s 250th birthday on New Year’s Eve, Dec. 31. Old Monterey Foundation is sponsoring a free concert from 6 to 7:15 p.m. featuring a performance by the Monterey County Pops! at the historic Golden State Theatre, 417 Alvarado St., in Downtown Monterey. The orchestra will present a diverse concert, with many special guests and dancers, celebrating this milestone occasion. All attendees must wear a mask and present a Covid-19 vaccination card or a recent negative test within 72 hours of the concert with ID.


MONTHLY LUNCHEON

KING CITY — Southern Monterey County Republican Women Federated will be hosting its monthly luncheon meeting on Tuesday, Jan. 4, 11:30 a.m. at King Kora Restaurant, 611 Canal St., in King City. Mayor Mike LeBarre and Police Chief Keith Boyd will present “State of the City,” a review of accomplishments and events in 2021 and a look ahead for King City in 2022. Everyone is welcome.
