KING CITY — Monterey-Salinas Transit announced Dec. 13 the inaugural trip of Line 34, which travels clockwise within King City every 30 minutes on weekdays, from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. MST staff and King City Mayor Mike LeBarre, an MST board member, were there for the bus ride, which is also a timed transfer with Line 23 at Third and Lynn streets for residents traveling north. “This is one of many improvements recently implemented in the Better Bus Network,” MST said in the announcement.
ZUMBA CLASSES
GONZALES — Heal Together, a communitywide initiative responding to grief, is now offering Zumba and Wellness classes in Gonzales. GRATITUDE CHALLENGE
SOLEDAD — Soledad Branch Library recently distributed a 30-day Gratitude Challenge and a free thank you card to students at Soledad High School, encouraging them to let someone know that they’re grateful for a kindness that person has shown them. Others who would like to take the challenge can download one at experimentsinwellness.com/30-day-gratitude-challenge/. They can also visit the library for a copy of the challenge and a thank you card while supplies last.

SOLEDAD — Soledad residents can pick up a free kitchen pail for food scraps at Soledad City Hall, 248 Main St., during regular business hours. The pail can be used to collect food scraps, which then can be emptied into the curbside green cart, before reusing the pail again. Only one kitchen pail per household is allowed.
