OPERATION SANTA

PINE CANYON — Pine Canyon Fire Department will host Operation Santa on Sunday, Dec. 20, starting at 6 p.m. The event was rescheduled to the new Sunday time, and Pine Canyon residents can now expect to see the firetrucks pass through their neighborhoods.


SENIOR HELPLINE

MONTEREY COUNTY — Senior service organizations in Monterey County are offering to help local seniors in need during the pandemic. Residents age 60 and older can call the Senior Helpline (1-800-510-2020) to be directed to seven organizations that can ensure their wellbeing with such services as meals delivered, mental health counseling, transportation assistance, caregiver support and more.


DISPOSAL DELAY

SALINAS VALLEY — Tri-Cities Disposal is letting residents with their service know that for Christmas and New Year’s, if their regular collection day is on Friday, it will be on Saturday instead. Residents are asked to place clean and dry paper, plastic, glass, metal and cardboard in the blue mixed recycling cart.
