BIKE REPAIR

KING CITY — Greenfield Community Science Workshop will host a Bike Repair Workshop offering free tune-up and repair services on Saturday, Dec. 2, in King City. The workshop will take place from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at San Antonio Park, 1245 Bedford Ave. Donations of used bikes will also be accepted at the event. In addition, there will be bikes available to fix and take for those without one. For more information, call 831-233-8335.


HOLIDAY LIGHTS

GONZALES — City of Gonzales will host the annual Holiday Lights celebration on Saturday, Dec. 2, from 4 to 7 p.m. on Fourth Street. Admission is free, and there will be games, raffles and a chance to meet Santa. Food, drinks and artisanal crafts will also be available for purchase from vendors.


OPEN HOUSE

SOLEDAD — The Soledad Mission gift shop will be hosting a Christmas open house on Sunday, Dec. 3, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Come enjoy some refreshments and do some shopping. The Mission is located at 36641 Fort Romie Road in Soledad.


BONUS BRIEF: MONTHLY LUNCHEON

KING CITY — Southern Monterey County Republican Women Federated will host its monthly luncheon meeting Tuesday, Dec. 5, at 11:30 a.m. at King Kora Restaurant, 611 Canal St., in King City. The club will be celebrating the Christmas holidays with Los Vaqueros Hunting Club Traveling Band playing for the group. Installation of officers for 2024-25 will be conducted. Members and guests are asked to bring an unwrapped toy or gift for children ages 2-14 to be given to Loaves and Fishes food distribution. Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting.
