SALINAS — Numerous local employers are gearing up to use the Monterey County Workforce Development Board’s new Premier Virtual online platform to meet job seekers at a virtual job fair on Wednesday, Aug. 18, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Job seekers need to register in advance on the platform at https://bit.ly/3s0q2FU. SOCCER LEAGUE

KING CITY — Those interested in forming an adult soccer league can come to Aera Soccer Park across from Chalone Peaks Middle School on Aug. 19 at 6 p.m. A group of locals will host a get together and discuss the formation of a league. For information, call the recreation office at 831-385-6748.


BANK PROMOTION

SALINAS VALLEY — Pacific Valley Bank has announced that Theresa Hamilton will assume a new role on the senior management group as the bank’s newest senior vice president and regional manager. As a member of the senior management group, Hamilton will be responsible for managing the bank’s three branches in Salinas, Monterey and King City as well as the cannabis banking program.
